Villa kitchen renovation
A villa kitchen is a services problem before it is a design problem: extraction, water, drainage and power decide what the room can become, and they are settled before a single cabinet is drawn.
What a villa kitchen involves
In a villa the kitchen usually sits alongside a second preparation kitchen, and the two have to work as one set of services. Extraction routes, water and drainage runs, and power for appliances are resolved first, because moving them later means opening finished walls.
Joinery is where the budget concentrates. Catalogue units keep costs predictable; bespoke joinery in veneer or lacquer takes longer to produce and needs accurate site dimensions before production starts.
Stone and surfaces
Large-format stone worktops need slab selection, templating after cabinets are set, and cutting that accounts for the sink and hob. Book-matched slabs and waterfall edges have to be planned at the slab, not at the fabricator, which is why selection happens early.
Appliance packages are worth fixing before joinery is produced: a change of oven or fridge size after production is a change to the carcass, not a swap of a box.
Where this sits in a villa project
We take this on only as part of a full villa renovation — it shares services, programme and approvals with the rest of the work. See what a full renovation costs and which approvals apply.
